All of us at Lanier Flight Center have enjoyed sharing Bruce’s aviation journey, and know he will achieve his private pilot certificate soon! WAY TO GO, BRUCE!

Doug Finner – First Solo (06/13/17)

Doug Finner had a surprise during his flight lesson when his instructor, Rick Cornelison, told him he was getting out of the plane! Doug didn’t know it was going to be THE day, but that didn’t stop him from soaring into his FIRST SOLO FLIGHT! Doug made three beautiful landings in Cessna Skycatcher N70252! Rick’s confidence in Doug’s skills and focus was well-deserved, and all of us at Lanier Flight Center cheered, “YOU DID IT, DOUG!”

John Jacobs – First Solo (06/08/17)

It was a picture-perfect day for Operation John Solo as friends and family stealthily gathered at LFC for a peek at John Jacobs’ FIRST SOLO FLIGHT! John’s sharp eye caught-on, but not to worry, he made three beautiful landings, and sounded like a seasoned pro on the radio! All of us at Lanier Flight Center have been inspired by John’s dedication and courage throughout his training, and it will be enjoyable to see those tools carve a great future. Please join John’s instructor, David Ingalsbe in applauding, “OUTSTANDING JOB, JOHN!”

Jeremy Chen – First Solo (06/02/17)

When Jeremy Chen decided to begin flight training, he was the youngest student pilot at our PDK location, and we have seen his determination pay-off! He is a young man going places, including taking his FIRST SOLO FLIGHT in Cessna Skyhawk N2458M! Please join Jeremy’s instructor, Jeff Reimer, and all of us at Lanier Flight Center in exclaiming, “GREAT JOB, JEREMY!”

Johnny Sommers II – First Solo (06/02/17)

When Johnny Sommers took-off in Cessna Skyhawk N2132W for his FIRST SOLO FLIGHT, he wasn’t the first in the Sommers crew to solo at Lanier Flight Center, but he certainly seemed to enjoy it the most! Dad got to be a kid again with the whole horizon in front of him, and we are betting that smile lasts for weeks to come! Please join Johnny’s instructor, Rick Cornelison, and all of us at LFC in cheering, “WAY TO GO, JOHNNY!”
