Joe Lanier III – Flight Instructor – CFI, CFII
Joe obtained all of his pilot ratings at Peachtree Dekalb Airport. His love of aviation began on the viewing platform atop the old Hartsfield terminal. Joe attended Sewanee University (BA Economics) and the University of North Carolina (MBA) before spending 15 years in the textile business.
When the mills shut down and moved overseas, Joe turned his focus to an aviation career. He has taught students from ages 14 to 76. He stresses that when students become accustomed to the sometimes fast paced and busy environment at PDK, they are prepared to fly anywhere.
Joe’s other passions are hunting, fishing, scuba diving, astronomy, and reading history.
