Phil Shockey – Vice President

Phil Shockey is a late comer to aviation.  He graduated in 1965 from Mississippi State University, and after time in the Air Force, joined a major corporation beginning a career in the food business.

In 2003, he rekindled an old flame by learning to fly and received his private pilot rating in 2004 and began filling in part time at the Lanier Flight Center.

After 36 years and retiring as Southeastern Regional Sales Manager from Cargill Oilseeds in February 2005, Phil was hired by Troy to work the Dispatch Desk and perform customer service and general office duties in support or our flight instructor staff.

Since that time Phil has been involved in many aspects of customer service, supplier relations and our flight school business activities.  Recently, management of our Lanier Fuel Express Shell branded self serve 100 LL aviation fuel business was added to his list of responsibilities.

Phil loves being one of the first faces our customer sees when they walk in the door.
