Ryan Kowalski – Flight Instructor – CFI, CFII
Ryan, from Toledo, Ohio, started flying in the Fall of 2007 after finishing his B.A. in Spanish and Linguistics at the University of Toledo and his M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics while also teaching Spanish at Ohio State University.
He did his initial flight training in Panama City, Florida before moving to the Atlanta area where he currently resides. His background in foreign language education helped finance the remainder of his flight training, including his CFI and CFII, as he taught Spanish at Georgia College & State University. Now a full-time flight instructor at PDK Flight Academy at Dekalb Peachtree Airport, Ryan enjoys doing his teaching not in a classroom with no windows, but in a cockpit with the best view in the world.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys traveling, playing guitar, books, movies and video games, and practicing the many foreign languages he has studied.
