At Lanier Flight Center we recognize that our pilots are the heart of the business. It is with great pride that we join in celebrating their accomplishments and we wish a hearty congratulations to each of our pilots who have completed milestones in their training.

Ethan Irvin- First Solo!

Congratulations are in order for Ethan Irvin, who soloed on [date] at the Gainesville Airport in a Cessna 172! Ethan did a great job as Pilot in Command and is progressing right along through his training.

Ethan is a fantastic student: motivated, excited, hardworking. He is also one of our younger students, taking on the Private Pilot training at 16 years old! FAA regulations require PPL applicants to be at least 17 years old, by training now, Ethan will certainly be ready for his practical test by the time he is age eligible.

Ethan has been working with CFI Brad Griffin.
