Cessna Skycatcher Exterior
The SkyCatcher’s timeless high-wing design offers many practical benefits, including stability superb visibility, sun blocking and inclement weather protection, a simple preflight inspection and easy access to pilot and passenger. Plus, the seats are forward pivoting, resulting in easier access to the spacious baggage area behind pilot and copilot. The main landing gear uses high-strength, tapered steel tubes to provide the necessary shock absorption for a smooth landing, time after time. The SkyCatcher has a door on both sides, making it easier to both board and exit.

The Skycatcher interior consists of the following amenities:

  • Two removable seats containing material wrapped foam padding
  • Adjustable seat belts and shoulder harnesses
  • A neutrally painted interior
  • Armrests on the cabin doors
  • Glareshield with LED wash lighting
  • Center console containing map and general storage areas
  • 12.5 (.35 m3) cubic foot baggage compartment accessible by rotating the seats forward
  • Baggage net provided to retain articles in the baggage area

Cessna Skycatcher Avionics
The all-new Garmin G300 avionics package was specifically designed with the Cessna SkyCatcher in mind. A single Garmin G300 display will provide primary flight, engine and moving map information in a split screen format. Other standard equipment will include a Garmin SL40 Com radio, Garmin GTX327 Mode C transponder, VFR GPS and a 406 MHz ELT. Optional second MFD, audio panel and autopilot shown.

Cessna Skycatcher Engine
Teledyne Continental engines are recognized throughout the industry for their high standards of performance and reliability. The SkyCatcher features a Continental O-200D, an air-cooled, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated, spark ignition, direct drive engine that produces a maximum of 100 brake horsepower at 2,800 RPM. The Continental O-200D allows you to cruise at speeds up to 118 knots (219 km/hr), with a range of 470 nautical miles (870 km) and a service ceiling of 15,500 feet (4,724.4 m).
