Wes Jordan – Private Pilot Certificate (02/27/16)


It’s time to celebrate with Wes Jordan who soared into his dream of becoming a PRIVATE PILOT!  Wes flew Cessna Skyhawk N393ES and received the ‘green light’ from FAA DPE Ben Carr on Saturday February 27!  Wes’ determination, study skills, and work with his instructor, David Kerr, succeeded, and everyone at Lanier Flight Center celebrates his accomplishment!  Join all of us at LFC in exclaiming, “YOU DID IT, WES!”

EAA Chairman Pelton Speaks at Candler Field Museum TOMORROW


It’s a beautiful weekend for all things aviation, and, if you are not already planning to attend, we’d love to see you at the EAA Town Hall Meeting tomorrowFebruary 27.  Join your friends from EAA 611 and Lanier Flight Center, as well as EAA and VAA members from area airports for a message from EAA Chairman & CEO Jack Pelton, who hosts the meeting at 1:00pm.

Located at the Peach State Aerodrome, the Candler Field Museum provides a wonderful venue for the meeting, and you are encouraged to come early to join fellow aviators for lunch at the Barnstormer’s Grill.

Jim Brzusek – First Solo (02/19/16)


Join us in celebrating Jim Brzusek’s FIRST SOLO FLIGHT in Cessna Skycatcher N70252!  Jim likes the smooth air of the early mornings, and his instructor, Rick Cornelison, enjoys starting the day in the cockpit with Jim.  But Jim was ready to go it alone, and Rick proudly watched him launch into solo piloting!  All of us at Lanier Flight Center exclaimed, “WAY TO GO, JIM!”

Rob Allen – Private Pilot Certificate (02/16/16)

Morgan “Buddy” Tatum – Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (02/10/16)


Morgan Tatum (known as “Buddy” around here) departed KPDK for his check ride at KGRD on February 10 and added both Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings to his accomplishments!  Buddy’s dedication and skills took him to new heights, and his instructor, Brad Falberg, couldn’t be prouder!  Join all of us at Lanier Flight Center in celebrating our newest MULTI-ENGINE INSTRUMENT pilot!  WAY TO GO, BUDDY!
