Gainesville, GA, December 5, 2007 – Cessna Aircraft Company has appointed Lanier Flight Center a Cessna Sales Team Authorized Representative (CSTAR) for new single engine aircraft sales for Alabama and Georgia effective January 1, 2008. For 80 years Cessna Aircraft Company has manufactured reliable aircraft with wonderful safety records under names that have become synonymous with general aviation today..SkyCatcher, Skyhawk, Skylane, and Stationair. The single engine product line includes the recently acquired Columbia 350 and 400 aircraft.
Lanier Flight Center was founded in 2003 at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport, Gainesville, GA (KGVL) and is a Cessna Pilot Center offering flight instruction in technically advanced and conventionally equipped Cessna aircraft. Starting with one airplane in 2003, the fleet now includes sixteen managed aircraft and nine professional flight instructors. Graduates from the flight instruction program include Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine and Flight Instructor ratings.
Troy Wheeler, President of Lanier Flight Center, has announced intentions to aggressively market Cessna single engine aircraft to customers and flight schools in Alabama and Georgia from the current Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport location. “With a staff of dedicated, trained professionals and the same focus on customers as we have placed on flight training, we intend to make purchasing a new Cessna aircraft an outstanding customer experience.” Services will include presence throughout our region and new Cessna aircraft readily available for customer flight demonstrations supported by management insights into aircraft financing, insurance and owner lease-back investment opportunities. Lanier Flight Center is a Cessna Pilot Center offering professional, certified flight instruction in obtaining Private, Commercial, Multi-engine, Tailwheel, Aerobatic and Certified Flight Instructor ratings.
