Lanier Flight Center is again offering our popular Private Pilot Ground School in a classroom setting September 9 thru November 18, 2010. Are you looking for a structured course in a friendly, discussion environment taught by a professional instructor that will provide you with the aviation knowledge to pass your FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Written and Oral Exams?

The course is comprehensive and subjects include Basic Aerodynamics, Aircraft Systems, Flight Instruments, Federal Regulations, Airport Markings and Operations, Weather Theory and Services, Weight and Balance and Performance, Flight Planning, Air Navigation, and Air Traffic Control and Communication.
The course materials you will need are FAR/AIM, Airport Facilities Directory, Pilot s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, Atlanta Sectional, E6B Computer, Plotter, Gleim FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test Book. All of these are available in our Pilot Shop.
Class will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:00-8:30 pm beginning September 9, 2010 for 11 weeks, thru November 18, 2010 at Lanier Flight Center, Gainesville, GA in the upstairs classroom. The course will be taught by Chief Flight Instructor Derek Metro and the cost is only $275.00 for this vital, information packed course.
